Meet Michelle, Digital Project Manager
"The only way to do great work is to love what you do!", this is a quote I like to live by, and since work fills a large part of your life, I’d say it’s a pretty important one!

Hey, I’m Michelle, Digital Project Manager here at Eyekiller! I started my career working in a retail marketing agency, it was here that I discovered my passion and developed my skills in client services and project planning. My role at the agency was initially marketing executive and within the first year I gained exposure in both traditional and digital marketing campaigns across a variety of client accounts working with a few well-known retailers such as Marks & Spencer and River Island.
I made a sideways move over to the client services team and within a year took on the role of Account Manager. I loved the fast-paced agency life and building client relationships and managing projects suited me perfectly.
The 2020 lockdown changed the retail marketing landscape, and I decided the time was right to take up a new challenge, so I joined a local web development agency as Project Manager.
I have followed Eyekiller for a few years and always admired their work. I knew they had a reputation as the go to agency for beautifully designed and functional website. Over the past few years Eyekiller have been consistently winning industry awards. I was very impressed when I noticed they were expanding their client list on a global level, in particular North America. I knew this was somewhere I’d love to work. So, when the opportunity to apply for Project Manager at Eyekiller came up I jumped at it.
From my initial interview I knew that Eyekiller was the perfect fit for me, I could only hope that I was the perfect fit for them too.

My Role At Eyekiller
My role at Digital Project Manager consists of getting everyone in a project aligned on tasks, milestones, timelines, responsibilities, and deliverables. Our project management software Teamwork has been my best friend, helping make sure everyone stays aligned throughout project planning, execution, and control.

My First Month at Eyekiller
Anyone who has worked at a Digital Agency will understand that there is a lot of new information, tools, and processes to get familiar with. To cut through the noise of a new job, I set myself clear focuses for each day. This is generally my approach for project management as it allows me to set achievable goals to keep myself–and the team–on track.
The Team
The first thing that stood out for me was the team and atmosphere; it is so welcoming, and everyone is so passionate about what they do and delivering the best for our clients.
I was aware from the outset that Eyekiller had a reputation in the industry for going above and beyond for their clients, and now that i am here it is great to see what goes on behind the scenes. The focus on client service from the ground up is second to none. Unlike some agencies where new clients are often given prority, the policy here is to ensure very single client gets the same exceptional service. From pre-launch to post-launch the team here at Eyekiller strive to do their best and make sure client support requests clients are resolved as quickly as possible.
As a Project Manager, I believe that Customer Satisfaction is a metric that is often overlooked. Rushing to complete the project on time and to budget can often mean customer satisfaction is not prioritised and therefore not guaranteed. However, it is clear from my experience so far, and the positive word-of-mouth, that this is not the case at Eyekiller.

Happy Clients
Eyekiller’s ethos is that we consider ourselves to be an extension of a client’s team. Once a client is onboard with a new project it is important to start the right information at the right time in as transparent a manner as possible.
To manage this collaboration we use Basecamp to keep everyone involved in the project up to date, and knowing where tasks stand in real-time and what needs to be done next and when. Project transparency like this, leads to better outcomes for both the team and the project itself.

The Future
I’ve been at Eyekiller for almost 2 months, and it’s flown by.
In the coming months I’ll be working to improve the team’s efficiency by updating and introducing new processes. Taking the time to learn and listen to each team, to discover strengths and weaknesses and get a holistic view of how everyone works together and how we can evolve going forward.
I’m delighted to be part of the team and am looking forward to working on more exciting projects, and helping the company continue to deliver first class Websites, Digital Strategy and Customer Experiences.
