We’re on the lookout for a motivated and growth-minded Business Development Manager with a passion for web development and digital marketing, and experience working with digital agencies that deliver these services.
In this role, you’ll be instrumental in driving our growth by uncovering new business opportunities, entering new markets, building strong client relationships, and pitching our full suite of digital and website services. You’ll be responsible for researching market trends, developing sales strategies, and managing the full sales process to increase the agency’s revenue. You’ll help scope tailored solutions that align with client needs and budgets — securing new business and, with the support of our multi-disciplined team, ensuring long-term client success.

About you
You are a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the IT and web development landscape. Your background includes proven success in identifying business opportunities, securing new clients, and delivering value-based solutions. You’re highly motivated, articulate, and capable of understanding both the technical and business side of digital services.
Must have skills
- 3+ years of experience in business development or sales for a similar agency, with a focus on web development and digital marketing.
- A solid understanding of web technologies, including CMS and e-commerce platforms (such as Craft CMS, Shopify, etc.), front-end and back-end development, hosting, and web performance.
- Experience collaborating with Project Managers, web/software design and development teams, digital marketing professionals, and company management.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present complex technical requirements in a simple, persuasive manner.
- A results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
You will also need to be able to
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through market research, networking, and outbound campaigns.
- Build and nurture relationships with potential clients to understand their business needs and technical requirements.
- Create and build customised proposals, tenders and presentations to effectively communicate the value of our digital services.
- Collaborate with internal teams (technical, design, marketing) to ensure accurate project scoping and proposal development.
- Managing the entire sales cycle, from initial contact to contract signing, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and online platforms to enhance brand visibility.
- Maintain a pipeline of prospects and use CRM tools to manage leads, opportunities, and sales reporting.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
