Belfast’s cultural hub, the MAC, opened in 2012 and since then has welcomed over 1.9 million visitors to experience theatrical and musical performances, international exhibitions and workshops. By putting digital at the heart of customer experience we helped them achieve their objectives.

We were tasked with creating a next-generation website and providing ongoing digital support. These actions were to capitalise on the 60% mobile traffic, drive brand awareness, increase ticket sales, and to provide an holistic user experience (UX).
Putting users first
We took a ‘mobile-first’ approach to developing the user journey. We set out to understand the customers of the MAC, and undertook one-on-one user testing of early design prototypes to gather feedback. The resulting website is intuitive, visually engaging, conversion focused and reflects core brand values.
Persuasive methods to drive sales
Our innovative techniques encourage visitors to sign-up to mailing lists, and our PPC advertising and SEO execution enhance the quality of traffic to the website. We continually optimise the site through persuasive design and ongoing A/B conversion testing.
KPIs and objectives smashed, revenue more than doubled
Our use of user-experience design, conversion rate optimisation, Spextrix booking integration and digital strategy produced an unprecedented ecommerce footfall for the MAC. Their success not only establishes them as the premium arts destination in Ireland, but also showcases Belfast itself as a cultural destination.
